Introductions - Hi folks.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Discovered this forum just a cupla days ago.
This is nice place.
Thought it would be more honest to log in, rather than lurk in...
Oh, now I can butt in, er um, participate in, all these fascinating threads!

Hi Greg. Welcome to BikeForums:beer:
I went to high school in Olympia. Lovely part of the country, even if it does rain every day from September thru April. :D

Hhhmmm… lessee…
Yo, Gojohnnygo, I’m on a Specialized Sirrus Sport (a cool hybrid ) that is a joy to ride, and I’ve raved about it on the Road Bike Review website at
http://www.roadbikereview.com/2002+Hybrid+Bike/Specialized+Bicycle+Sirrus+A1+Sport/PRD_102773_4222crx.aspx
Last month I splurged on a nice Bontrager Race Lite Wheelset that my LBS had on special and wow it was like putting afterburners on my bike!
I’m into sprint triathlons and might venture into the Olympic distance classes next season. I compete somewhere between the hacker and the intermediate level.
Mr Earleybird (is that my cat you have for your avatar?), I could only lurk a couple of days here, before I had to come clean. This website gave me a very positive impression with the friendly back and forth banter, the passionately opposing points of view that were kept at a more or less civil level (!), and the overall thoughtful tone I noticed in most of the posts! It’s nice to be welcomed into such a congenial on-line community.
Hi RonH, say hello to Guv Locke for me while you’re down there. Have they finished fixing that dome yet since the earthquake, or has that Eyman guy decreed we should just buy a new one at Wal-Mart?
Hello Mr. RobCat2002, is that the Unitarian Universalist avatar ya got there? A couple from my UU fellowship moved to Portland just a few months ago. In a small world, you might have met them already…
Not sure what else to say at the moment, but rest assured I’ll barge in with my 2 cents worth anytime!
Cheers,
Greg

It is indeed! I've had to miss the last few services but looking forward to attending again. I hope your friends have found it as positive an experience as I have. :D

Your cat could be a direct decendant Greg, came over with the pilgrim Fathers. Main characteristics:-
Anti-social tendancies,
Sleeps all day, Murders everything in a 2 mile radius all night. Frequently brings back half alive wildlife back to the bedroom at 2.30 am in the morning. Fussy eater, food fads etc .( Suddenly decides he doesn't like his favorite `beef with vegetables' that you just bought out half the pet shop stock for)
Is this beginning to sound like your cat Greg360?...:)
