...nuts, or I think he was.
But he had the rim bare rear, then I started thinking....hmm?
He gets a little traction with the weight and no compromise of steering.
Compared as a reversal, he figured it out pretty good, a slippy front rim would suck.

He was not wearing a helmet .... :D
I was thinking of leaving a few half spent tires hanging from tree branches in the neighborhood.
Oh, and a tube.
Then I'm thinking -what a waste.
The guys oblivious, not noticing ANYTHING! Grind!Grind!Grind!

Yeah, when i was on a missions trip in MexiCali, I saw this dude on a total beater w/ no tires at all, just cruising along. I couldn't stop staring.

I passed two kids on my commmute one day. Both on bikes without rear tires. They were having a great time sliding the back end out, fishtailing, and making noise. I laughed the rest of the way home...

I did that once to a very rusted Giant Iguana. Its a fabulous way to destroy a rim.

I've done that before on one of my old junkers. It's a horribly rough ride and a little scary around corners but its still kind of fun in a sick way.

Kids where I grew up do that all the time. "Yo, he be rim-ridin!" They have good times. Plus, its usually on huffy bmx's. Big loss.

I see it every night on Amazing Police Videos after the stop-sticks blow out some speeders' tires. Great showers of sparks at night. Also I have ridden tireless(;) ) rail bikes in underground mines. Steel on steel works fine.

I used to do that on my old Huffy BMX back in the 80's. I actually had no tires on the front and back. Work pretty well in the dirt, 'cept for stopping and starting

I have a neighbor with 4 kids - and not enough mechanical inclination between them all to figure out how to tuen a screwdriver.

ONCE - I took it upon myself to part out a junker I had to resurrect a Schwinn LeTour (nice, too) and a C Itoh so they'd have something to ride to school, etc.

Bear in mind, they also have about 7 Xmart bikes in various states of disrepair.

Anyway, I gave the Itoh a front wheel, and the Schwinn a rear. Tuned them up and away they went, happier than ever, but with stern instructions to alert me next time they needed anything. Not even a thank you.

3 days later, they were riding them on the rims. Ruined. Amazing.

No more help from me. Some people just don't have a clue.

oh come on, if you had a bike when you were a kid you know you did it at least once!
