Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - car pulled out on me, frame dead :(

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
A car pulled out on me from a side street. Fork blades and crown twisted/bent, top and down tubes bent, not happy :( wheels and me are ok though. OK it was what you would class as my beater, but it used to be my race frame and had great sentimental value. Decisions as to whether I get it repaired or get a new frame now. :( I think I'll go the repair route.

how about car insurance ? did the car have to pay up ? did you call the cops ? more details, and how about some pics of the bike ?

if you decide to get it repaired, give gene spicer a call. i've heard that he does great work on repairs, at an almost unbelievably good price.
car stopped, got details, guy took me to hospital to get checked over, then to police to report accident. So that part and insurance is being dealt with.
In terms of repair, I know a few framebuilders who I could take it to, and Spicer is a little too far from the UK!
Pictures I'll see what I can do, the frame doesn't look too bad until you put wheels in it!
