Finished 5th. Maybe now he'll go away but somehow I doubt it.

Good. That's what he gets for living in a country with an overreactive and pretty stupid public.

He gets knocked for being honest while the this government lies about everything and is "doin' a heck of a job" America's being lead around by a bunch of uptight jerks!
In Italy Tomba is a hero, would party all night before a race. GO! Bode!!

Yo! What's up with the spoiler in the thread subject???

How about this in the subject line... "Torino Downhill... (warning!! SPOILER in post!!!)"

Dang.... I was looking forward to seeing the downhill tonight. Not necessarily just for Bode, but because it's the best event in the winter games. One shot at it. Fastest one wins. So pure.

Oh well...

All the long track speed skating events are like this, One run, your time stands and you may or may not get a medal.

Women's 3000m this morning and unheard of 19 yo gets the gold. The current world champ and world record holder gets the bronze.

1 shot.

i think their ski-switching shinanigans was a bit stupid. They shouldve stuck with what they were used to.

That is what I was thinking. They should race w/ the skis they practiced on, not skis they heard were faster and got one run on...

^ pfft, that was downright ridiculous, switching back and forth between skiis. Miller is a good skier but his technique was lacking in a few places. Particularly when he didn't tuck at all at a place where he should've a bit before the finish.

To be honest I was cheering for Kernen but I'm glad that punk Walchhofer didn't win. Didn't like his "i'm just gonna go really fast and see if I can manage not to fall" technique either.
