I pushed him off the edge of the plane, but his disco jersey wasn't a very good parachute. He fell at approximately 19mph, and his incessant screaming powered my on-board 400w barbeque.

Today I went out for a ride on my C40. I wore my Panaria jersey because it is a nice superbright orange and I planned on riding a narrow road where the locals drive normally 20 mph over the limit and kill each other about once a week.

I had a steak last night because my fingernails have been getting brittle and my beard hasn't been growing very rapidly - both signs of insufficient protein in my diet. The trouble with that is that the next day after eating meat I'm always really loggy and slow.

So I wasn't too surprised today when I just couldn't get moving. Normally I ride this particular road at 16 or 17 mph until the peak. But today I was straining to hold 13 or so.

Well, no one else showed up for the ride so I was all alone and it doesn't bother me to ride slow.

I did the 20 miles out to a coffee shop and had the world's worst cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll.

On the way back I took the steep route. I still couldn't get moving so the last 300 meters was accomplished in low gear and with my eyes bugged out. Over the top and I was doing 40 mph down the other side which is posted as 35 mph limit. A BMW came up behind me and you could tell he was irritated that I was in his way. I hit the chicanes and kept it in high gear. Coming out I had a couple of hundred yards on him and you could hear him hit it to catch up. Another tight turn, a small downhill and a stop sign. Just as we approached the sign I could see it was clear but with a lot of traffic coming. So I just slowed up and then hit it and cleared the wide intersection and got in the bike lane heading back into town. About 1/4 mile down the road the BMW came by too close. Must have irritated that jerk that he couldn't keep up.

As I came back into town I hit a right turn onto the main drag and there is a slight rise there. I was still feeling a little loggy so I only went up at about 24 mph when I used to skim over the top of that rise at 28. As I came down the other side the stop light turned red. I stopped. Then this guy wearing one of the local racing team jerseys came by at about 30 mph and rode right through that red light.

Man! He sure did beat the posseur.

This guy has been trolling the road forum like a maniac. I won't feed him anymore.

Cheers,
