That's problematic. Round and Round Productions (Gino, Wendy and crew) are not doing the WIM series this year :(. This is making us scramble to try to get something together for this season. My emphasis is on DH, but Tim Arnold (Bicycle Butler) and I are working on setting up a couple of Beacon events. There is definitely interest in doing XC too. We will be involving Gino probably and are hoping to get Eric Ewing for timing. I am trying to get a meeting set up with Tim and Gino later this week to try to pick some dates.

Silver Mountain will hopefully be working on expanding their schedule to make up a bit for the lack of races too. I need to talk with Stephen Lane this weeik. I'll post more stuff here as soon as I can get more info.

Would you be willing to be a volunteer on the DH day to help ensure there's an XC?

So if i'm getting you right, as of right now there aren't any races(xc) scheduled. When you ask if i would want to volunteer on the DH to ensure a XC how would that help? What kind of stuff do you need help with?

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. I have a couple dates for XC races in Spokane:

Sunday, April 23 - XC - Location TBA
Sunday, June 4 - Offroad Time Trial - Location TBA

These will be under the auspices of Bicycle Butler with help from Gino and Eric for officiating/timing.
There is no WIM Series this year.

The reason I mentioned volunteering is because it takes a lot of manpower to make these things happen. Us gravity guys will be more inclined to help the XCs happen if we know we can count on reciprocal support for a DH race or two. As with races past, we can probably spot you an XC entry fee if you work a DH race. There will be need for course marshals and such. If you are medically trained (EMT, First Responder, etc.), all the better.
