There are no 5lb BMX bikes. Period. Not one that's rideable at least.

I'm building a race bike right now just so I can get rid of it. It has really nice componants. It's still being built. It has Avid Ultimate V brakes, Thomson Seatpost FMF Handlebars and stem. The Frame is a Blue chromoly FMF frame. It's really strong and light go to www.FMFBMX.COM to look at it, its the only blue on under Frames, It also comes with FMF Pro 20" x 1.75 wheelset with tires, as far as fork and crank arms, im still building it, if you know of a fork or crank set you want on it, I can put it on for you. If your inteested. Send me a PM. Thanks. (PS. The bike will probably come out to weigh about 21-23 lbs. Thats light for a chromoly frame.

5kg is almost exactly 11lb, and I've never heard of a BMX bike that light either. Lightest one I ever saw was a factory race team special: a junior rocket in Ti with really narrow sewup tires and a Uni micro seat. Even that bike weighed 16lbs, and was unrideable by anyone over 5'/100lbs.

One of the things we like here is proper grammar and spelling. Get with it, or get out.

And, directed at "fukyoubeyatch": Do I know you?

i apologize profusely for adding an extra 's.' i didn't think i would be so difficult to understand. also, i do not think we know each other. however i am not perfect. ha!

I was referring to Special Ed's comment. He apparently doesn't know jack about sentence structure.

I need a fork and crank arms. Find a fork you like and I will put it on it. Then I will post pics.

There are no 5lb BMX bikes. Period. Not one that's rideable at least.

The lightest rideable BMX bikes is most likely Eric Hollys. When he was testing the Eastern Grim Reaper(Ti), and all the other crazy Eastern stuff he has. It was about 18 pounds without pegs, or brakes obviously, but he never rides brakes anyway, but he does ride 4 pegs. He just took them off to see how light it could be. He ended up putting on his pegs, and using the regular Eastern Grim Reaper becasue the bike was to light.

So there you have it, BMX bikes can be as lgith as you want them to be! Soon they will be able to be around that weight w/brakes. It should be pretty crazy.
