Hello,
I'm trying to find a source for track ends with a stainless steel face. Actually if I could find the exact track end used on the gan well pro's I'd be very happy. I checked bikelugs.com and henry james and didn't see them. Can somebody point me in the right direction.

kirk at bike lugs does have track ends with ss faces, they're just not pictured - give him a call.
they end up looking quite similar to NJS type ends.
the ones on gan well's are shimanos. no domestic source AFAIK.
good luck
hmm, ok I think EAI has the shimano ends. I'll have to check the catalog. Thanks for the help. I'm a new hobby builder trying to find good sources for materials so all information is appreciated.
Kalavinka makes some nice dropouts similar to the shimano's
http://www.kalavinka-bikes.com -> 'materials'
they'll ship overseas
and jonny http://jonnycycles.com/ was selling ss faces for track drop-outs a few months ago. he may still have some. he's also been known to use the Kalavinka lugs and drop-outs so he may be able to hook you up with the do's as well.
The Gan Well Pro's do have Kalavinka ends....but they are not stainless steel faces. The raised portion is cast into the ends and on the Gan Well Pro frames the ends are chromed.
I have stainless faces that can be added to any track end, but they would make the Kalavinka ends way too thick (7 or 8 mm thick!).
Jonny, would the shimano forkends with a stainless steel face work? Or would that also be too thick.
I think the Shimano ends would look great w/some stainless faces. Depending on what you use for the faces you may have to trim the top portion of the face to fit under the cutout in the ends.
I was told Shimano has stopped making drop outs and track ends but stock is still out there.
Tanabe san at Kalavinka makes good products and puts out alot for a small shop.

What about some nice paul or paragon ends?
Ok I've decided to definitly go with the kalavinka ends and get some lugs. I emailed them about a week ago and haven't heard anything. Has anybody ordered from them before? If so what's the best way to do it?
Email him again(Tanabe- san) he will reply back. It was keirin races this week and last week so he may have been busy.
I have those lugs and ends very good stuff and the make alot of stuff in house too.
