Hi, all,
I live in Greensboro, North Carolina USA. My partner and I decided to start commuting in to work a few months ago; six miles each way. We ride Raleigh C40s. We've both been riding since our childhoods, but not "seriously" until now.
Greensboro isn't a bad bike town, despite its lack of bike lanes. There are very good trails throughout the city, and the climate allows pretty comfortable cycling year-round. So far, motorists have been respectful.
I enjoy the exercise and the scenery, and of course the chance to spend hundreds of dollars on new toys and equipment for me and the bike. It's also nice to feel that we're doing our _small_ part to reduce dependence on (foreign) oil.
