Long ago and far, far away I was in the I.H.P.V.A. and helped put out the newsletter. We got occasional stories about using pedal power for things beside transportation. Lawn mowers seemed to be successful and one bandsaw was written up. There were many pictures of leg powered water pumps in the far east. I pedaled a recumbent generator for a few minutes in Denver. One guy alleged he was working on a hydraulic pump-motor combination. I could see that for splitting wood if a wedge and sledge was not around. Anyone heard of something more recent?
