I was just wondering if curved chain and seat stay tubes come bent from the tubing manufacturer or if they are custom-bent by each builder?
both.
columbus offers s-bend stays. most tubing mfg. offer chainstays with one bend for mnt bikes.
and some people bend their own.

I really like the look of curved chain stays. In my opinion you need a really tight sloping toptube

The only ciuly rear triangle I've ever seen were on frames built by Hetchins of North London Made for them [reputedly] by Reynolds. They were no better than standard tubing. and certainly did not withstand sideways twist. I suspect they weighed more
