Anyone build up a cross bike using SRAM derailleurs? I was interested to see if they worked will with STI brifters or even barcons.

I haven't built a bike with them, but SRAM makes rear derailers that operate with two different ratios of cable pull. The 1:1 stuff will only work with SRAM ESP shifters. The 2:1 stuff will work with STI.

If set to friction, then barcons will work with anything. :D

Jtek is making shiftmates now that allow using the 1:1 models with '01 and newer Campy shifters. have to use Shimano cassette for 10-speed though.

an X-0 RD with Chorus or Record carbon brifters would be kind of neat. pointless, but neat.

Thanks for the input. I use Campy on all my road bikes but they're less than usefull off road. I would like to try something a little different than Deore. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just everyone uses it though.
