Well, I'd like to anyway! Just got the Colorado Cyclist catolog and saw all the Kreitler Rollers... They don't look like they are that incredibly complicated, and certainly not worth $550 !!! Is there something I'm missing? Or, do you think it's feasible to try an build my own rollers? I have access to a metals distributor, and think I can find some aluminum tubing, and have a shop fab the endcaps for me... I'll go to King Bearing and get the innards... I just need to figure out a low resistance belt system that also doesn't slip (probably the most difficult part)!

I think I can do it!

Why not just purchase a belt from Krietly or other roller manufacture?

Belts for Kreitler (or any brand) rollers are about
$20. from the most expensive LBS. I'm sure you
can get em cheaper online.

how about get some wood logs, cut a groove for the belt.. Then get some Chris King hubs to mount on the ends of the logs.. figure the hubs for disk brakes then you already have the bolt pattern to screw them into the logs.. now let's see for hte side bars.. Some 2x4s? :)
