Foo - Ouray camping

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know it's early, but I'm thinking of my spring camping trip. Any one familiar with Ouray, CO?
I want to chill out with my dogs and a bike in Ouray. Any trails and primitive camping area suggestions?
The best primative camping in that area is on E. Dallas creek rd, near the trail head of Blue Lakes Trail. There is a huge meadow just below Mt Sneffels, no tables or anything, should be able to get in there by mid-May. Take highway 62 west from Ridgeway, 3 - 4 miles turn left on E. Dallas Rd. Try to get a map for Uncompagre National Forest, will show the roads and Blue Lakes Trail. BTW, there are nice hot springs in Ridgeway for a shower and a soak, don't miss it, also hot springs in Ouray. PM me if you need more specific information.

It's Ridgway.
I live about 2 hrs from Ouray, although I haven't spent a whole lot of time there. Shifty sound like they know the area pretty well.
This is the spot I mentioned, the meadow is just below the high peak in the center, at the end of that huge snow field. This picture was taken last May, so the meadow is about as far up you can get until early July. If you are going camping before May, I'd think about going to Moab instead, lot's of great primative camping, mountain biking and hiking, perfect time.
