Foo - The skeleton is redicurous!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I thought I've seen it all then I turn on the TV and saw olympic skeleton.
What the hell is that?
"She has great form, definitely a star athelete, look at her stance, her feet are very close together and this gives her the optimal form for some very good sliding!"

It is crazy, but I still think it's tamer than the luge. The skeleton doesn't go as fast and you have a better field of vision (and probably more control). I haven't seen any skeleton crashes, but I can't imagine that they compare to the luge crashes that happend earlier this week.
Don't even think about skimping on the helmet for that event. Pretty amazing speeds head first, 4 inches off the ice surface.

She's a local girl in my neck of the woods. I met her at Copper a few summers ago while she was working on starting sprints with her dry-land sled. That sled must have weighed at least 50 lbs.
They reach 80 mph according to the article in today's local paper. She said she wasn't relaxed enough. She had the fastest sprint start of all her competitors.

It's funny watching the women's butts jiggle.

If I had my drothers, the skeleton would be my event. It would be a blast!
Why don't they put up a series of balloons and have these people strap a jet pack onto themselves and the one that flies through all of them the quickest gets gold.

The skeleton riders are reading this now and thinking...."You ride a bike in NYC traffic?"
"What are you ...nuts?"

True, skeleton doesn't have the flash and style of, say ice dancing. http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/sleep.gif Dear God, who ever decided ice dancing should be televised? Looked like the 12 spectators in the stands were having about as much fun as I was.
So I'm getting the feeling that you're not entirely behind this whole skeleton thing, slvoid.
