Routenet (http://www.routenet.nl/default.asp)

Similar to MapQuest in the US, I came acrossed this mapping site which may be helpfull for folks planning European tours. It maps routes for Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Russia near to Kazakhstan. Obviously the routes are more oriented towards motor vehicles, but the distances given could be perhaps rather handy.

Doese anyone know of anything similar for Central and South East Asia?

www.map24.com is much better, in my not so humble opinion. Seriously though, try it out.

Also try www.viamichelin.com. Even if it's french, their maps of all europe are really high quality.
You choose to have it avoid highways, which are forbidden to bicycles througout Europe.
