you dont weigh very much so i dont think it would be a problem. but if yor going to ride park street dirt why not get a frame that suits these conditions. that frame is pretty expensive you can get pretty much any street frame on danscomp for the same price but it your desision

Yes, it can. I wouldn't advise riding a frame with V-brake mounts for street, though. That is, unless you can find an old pair of Odyssey A-Brakes, so that you don't catch your feet or pants on the arms.

Yes it does have A-brakes, and the reason why I am pondering over this frame is because I saw a pretty good deal on ebay that I might check out.

i know several racers that ride both Standard and S&M race frames for big trails and park and some PEGLESS street... they do fine...

pegless, because i beleive that that frame is the Standards Race frame, so its going to have 3/8" axles and unless your just riding flat with the pegs, then dont use them, becuase no matter how smooth you are having a 3/8" in the back with pegs riding street doesnt sound to appealing to me...if you really want to ride pegs then consider getting a slotted axle (a 14mm that is shaved so it can be turned sideways to fit into a 3/8" dropout, but its thicker and stronger than a regular 3/8".

Ok, I'll look into that at a later date because for the first thing, I don't even know if I am getting that bike, and the second thing is I'd have to learn how to bunnyhop and such first..

ok, oh and for the slotted axles, there hard to find so if your desperate enough and have good tools you can just buy a SOLID 14mm and do the slotting yourself...

Unfortunately, the local bmx places around here suck.. they are not very good for anything.. but, could you give me an example of an axle that I may be able to use?

i know that Sun Ringle (i think thats how you spell it) used to make a Slotted axle wheel set...i dont know if they do anymore

1) If you're pegless, a 3/8" rear axle will be fine.
2) Slotted 14mm are only stronger than a 3/8" axle laterally, so they won't do you any good.

So, the question is if a 120 lb kid with pegs will break the 3/8'' axle.. Or if there is another solution..

Considering the fact that everyone was riding 3/8" axles just a decade ago, and all the pegless riders back then weren't snapping axles left and right, it's not an issue. Especially with the heat-treated axles we have now.

If a 3/8" axle was good enough for Robbie Morales when he was on Standard, it's good enough for anyone.

i am under the impression that this frame would not be good for pegs mainly due to the thinner dropouts.

i am probably getting the 250 S model. standard seems like a good company...at least the framebuilders side of it does anyway

i have had an 125r since it first came out (2000). i still have the same one and it is just as good as it was on day one. while it will hold up to street riding, i'm pretty sure it's warranty will be voided. it's a race specific bike, so if anything goes wrong while street riding (dented chainstays, cracked anything), don't plan on getting a new frame for free.

race at shoreham when i'm around (living in the bronx while i'm at college). haven't ridden trails in while...used to ride in sound beach at scott's trails while they were around, hewlett in patchouge...never much of a street rider...i've been riding the road bike alot more lately

i used to go to union when it was open like six years ago, used to go to greenport, rampage and stuff...haven't ridden much park/street in quite a while, never really got into it

Yeah, I haven't gone to either.. but I have passed the greenport one a few times and wanted to.. but I haven't been near there in a while (nor do I have my bike due to grades :-( )... lookin into going to inline1 when I get it though...
