"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Het Volk - Saturday 25 Feb.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I haven't seen a start list yet. If anyone sees one, post or link it please.
This is always a good place to look: http://www.cyclingstartlists.com/
It is there now.

Thanks gmason. I'd checked all the usual suspects, even checked Het Volk. I'd never heard of 'cyclingstartlists.com' before.
Cheers
Lets see, Boonen is reserve (is that right?) so for me I'd say PVP is going
to win this one.

gmason very cool site, going into my favorites!
My limb is equally long and thin but Stuart O'Grady looks like he's very fit and ready to race. Now that his Tour ambitions are done and gone this year I expect to see him fighting it out in the Classics.

I'll say Thor Hushovd for no other reason than I like saying Thor Hushovd.

Stuey is at the Tour of California right now, so obviously the HetVolk start sheet is a bit off.

I'm still sticking to my prediction....yes Stuey is looking that good...and if he pulls it off I'll be lookin' pretty smart!!!!
Allright I'm going with Roger Hammond.

You said out ON a limb, not that you were gonna jump off...
Discounting the possibility that the 'Roos all have to grab early-season glory while they can before the big boys (Italians, Spanish, Belgians, Americans) get it rolling for the big coin, I'm guessing...Booden.

Phillipe Gilbert won the Omloop 't Volk.
Nice coverage on Sporza (Belgium sender we can recieve in Holland).
The favourites didnt make it. Nor Davitamon nor Quickstep took the price home.
Looking forward to tommorrow with the 2nd classic in one weekend: Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne.

By the way, you can watch KBK on cycling .tv tomorrow morning here in the USA...I watched het volk on it today and it wasen't bad, sometimes the connection goes down and there's a time gap, but overall it's a way of watching it live...
Check it out if you get the chance, or just check out that website.

Perhaps PvP is eyeing a race to come in the next couple of months. Ronde perhaps?

Here's the extent of the media coverage of Het Volk in the US newspapers...
The title character of Jef Mallet's excellent daily cartoon strip "Frazz" is a cycling junkie. Here's Monday, February 27th, strip, courtesy of http://www.comics.com/comics/frazz/

Even if PvP is targetting the Ronde I would have expected better
than 91st.
Love the Frazz strip.
