Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a used bike, and came across a Giant ATX 740 for sale. Apparently it's a model only sold in Hong Kong (not sure how it made it's way to Ontario), so I'm having trouble getting much information on it.

The only info in the ad (http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/166604/) is this:

Giant ATX, custom build from hong kong, not an exisiting model here. Built in may of 2005, no scratches(black and wine red in colour), rode twice. super light atx frame, deore drivetrain, LX shifters, Avid BB5 disks, Avid Speed Dial leavers, Titec hell bent xc bars, Salle italia seat, Lizard skin loc -on grips. The imperfections in the photos are dust or dirt, photos taken feburary 20th 06. asking $600.00 O.B.O

What kind of suspension is that (Giant branded? Who makes it? Is it any good?) Any thoughts on how much it should be worth? Is $600 (Canadian dollars, so about $523.20 USD) a good deal? Any other comments on the bike at all? I'd like to learn as much as possible about it.

Here are some pictures:

I would not pay anything more then $275 for it. i dont come across that EXACT bike everyday, but the local classifides are filled with pretty much THAT bike for under $300.
Good Luck

It's still on Pinkbike classifieds after 4.5 years, so I'm going to go ahead and say the OP (and everyone else) decided it wasn't worth the money.
