There was a class on the 4th but is was from noon to 4:00pm. That time did not work with my schedule so I had to pass on that one.

I was supposed to do the class in Feb that got rained out, then had
to take a dive instructor class on the 4th so I'm there on the 25th unless it's
full, sent email to Barry this morning.

The March 25th class shouldn't be full yet. Up until last week Barry was not even sure if they were going to do a class on that day. Are you bringing your own bike or will you be using one of the rentals?

In october or late september I volunteered there for the velo bike bash rally or something benefiting (brain?) cancer. Whew i had to be there at 5 in the morning till 11am. Oh it was TX OU weekend. haha my friends and I were on the street and UT fans were on one side, and OU fans on the other. As cars drove by we screamed outloud for one of those colleges. OF course i was on the winning side:D. That drome is awesome though! We got to run on it and i slid down the big slope and i tore my jeans lol.

Did anyone here ride that rally? Theyre was like ooh 500+ riders...

Go HERE (http://www.superdrome.com/devoclass.htm) and click on the "Email Barry" button on the right side of the page. He responds pretty quick.

yup I'm in, got the confirmation from Barry yesterday.
As for the bike, well my Pog is ready to pick up from the painter this weekend.
If I can get it built, wheels trued and tires glued I'll ride that, if not it's rental
for me.
EJ yah, I rode VeloBash. Cold morning rain, Not my favourite ride but I apprciated
being able to drive home in about 10 minutes (I was on the striped bike, if you saw
it you'd know it).

Lotek did you see us volunteers in the yellow shirts? haha and did you see us on the street corner:p? Were you one of the first to finish?

lotek

Nope I wasn't one of the first to finish, but I do recall the group in the
yellow shirts at the finish.

I did the development class today. I had a great time. I was the guy on the Felt TK2. Did anyone else attend the class? I can't wait to gain more experience and start racing.

I would like to hear about the classes! I am planning to register for the 4/29 class, most likely. Any advice?

Kevin, I was there (I was the old guy with beard and red long sleeve jersey).

What an absolute blast. . . .More fun than I've had on a bike in a long
time.
First look at those 44degree corners is, well, intimidating.
First time on them is exhilirating (sic?). I'm building up my Pog
as fast as I can. Friday nights will see me there.
There were a few other BF members there. Hope to see more
of you on DFW ride, or at the Friday nite races.
speaking of races. . .how cool was that? I got shelled the second
race (2k right after our 1k race) but didn't come in last (its a start).
My legs feel like jello right about now, I know I need to work on
some stuff, this just confirmed it.

If you're thinking of taking a track class, do it!
gives one a whole new perspective on bikes.

I was at today's class too. Intimidating at first, but much much easier at speed during the races.

I was there too. I'm the tall guy in the group of 3. That first race killed me.. the track is awesome

kevinmcdade

Anyone who is thinking about taking the class, do it. Even if you never actually race at a competitive level, the experience is awsome. I have not stopped talking about since I got home.

I am there every Tuesday night training/monitoring. I race on Fridays...I am the only one wearing Evil cycling's jersey.
