Hi to everyone,

I got a Scott Yecora moutain bike.
Recently the bike makes alot of noise when I change to a high gear.

For example, when I am on the middle plate 5th gear, there is no noise, but when I shift to the 6th, 7th or 8th gear the bike begins to make noise.

I am almost sure I need to adjust the gears, I just don't know how exactly.

Can anyone please help me out with this?

Thanks in advance.

Park Tool has very good tutorials on derailleur adjustments, see "Front Derailleur Adjustments" on this page: http://www.parktool.com/repair/byregion.asp?catid=53

It may well be that your cable needs adjusting but noise when on the smaller sprockets ca be caused by a stiff link in the chain. This may not show up in the larger sprockets. Best to check.
