i have a mountain bike with 26inch wheels. The rear wheel is bent, im going to replace it but i cant afford it at this moment. I have a wheel that is a bit smaller, if i put that wheel on, what will be the pro's and con's, and will this hurt anything?

TIA

PS. this is only temporary(like a week or 2)

um it'll work, depending on what you consider "working". Also you gotta worry about a difference in the number of gears in the rear.

The rear hub spacing may not be the same, the other wheel may damage your frame.

The rear of the bike will be lower, making the head/seat angle slacker and the BB lower, which will make striking a pedal on the ground more likely in a turn.

As said, no rear brakes..... the whole idea sounds mighty risky, maybe a good crash will knock some common sense into you. ;)

"what will be the pro's and con's"

then you'll have a real ghetto cruiser

it goes either way
