Dear Fellow Bikers,

I am wondering about the southern tier Adventures Cycling route- specifically the part that goes from El Centro to Phoenix. Is there a more southernly alternative route for getting into and across Arizona that might be a bit less mountainous?

From Salome you can take Buckeye Rd to Arlington then Old US 80 to Gila Bend
From there you can take AZ 85 to Ajo and AZ 86 to Tucson
Very remote - great distances between services.
