I have rust in all of my bolts on my bike. Can these be replaced with stainless steel (if so where can I get them)? Are some components made with stainless bolts. What can I do so that this won't happen again? Thanks:beer:

Your LBS may have some, good hardware stores have a selection of stainless fasteners. A boat store is also a good place to try. Aaronsmetricscrews.com has a pretty complete selection but requires a minimum purchase of 10 when all you usually need are 1-2 pieces.

Go to your local home improvement store. Usually, you can get the correct stainless steel bolts in the hardware section for 10-15 cents each. My LBS charges $1.

One of the first things I do when I get a new bike is replace the bottle cage bolts. They are usually steal and rust from my water bottles "sweating" on them during the summer. I put ice in the water bottles to keep the water cold. :D

I replace them and any other bolts that may rust or are rusted with stainless steel bolts from the hardware store. Any decent hardware store will have a good selection of stainless steel bolts and screws, including metric hex head, allen head, etc.
