Touring - Front Rack For a Cannondale headshock?

Im looking for any ideas on a rack that will fit the headshock.

I cant seem to find any racks that are made for suspension forks, that dont rely on brake bosses for the forward/backward stabilization. Because the Ultra fork has a taper on it, im not sure if I can rely on just hose clamp type fittings. Ideas on how to make that work?

I've got an F600 with the same fork. P-clamps with the rubber liners are the only way I've been able to attach ANYTHING to that beast. My LBS was of little help on that point as well. Fenders are a challenge, let alone load bearing equipment. Keep us posted if you find a solution.

one idea that m Lbs had was to use U clamp"?"s with a old man mountain style rack. I havent tried this yet. Im concerned that having a concentrated pressure on one spot on the fork might comprimise the aluminum. I suppose i could fit a rubber piece underneth it.

I've got the same fork and I've thought about just replacing it.

I've got the HS on the C-dale, and I didn't have any problems mounting a rack. I used band clamps with rubber liner strips. Think if it this way, most of the weight is transfered down into the bolts at the dropouts, so the top mount is really there more to provide stability than to provide load bearing capacity (imho)

Not as pretty as some setups I've seen, but if the bags are on it, you never see it anyhow.

I've got Tubus on it front and back, Cargo on the rear and the Tara up front. I got mine from www.TheTouringStore.com Wayne is great and will take good care of you.
