Mountain Biking - Can all Trek dealers order Gary Fisher?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Maybe someone who works at a Trek dealer or who knows can help me out:
I read that Trek dealers can order GF even if they don't carry them, due to GF being owned by Trek. My LBS carries Trek, but I'm really interested in some GF stuff right now too. Haven't got a chance to stop in and ask them yet, I thought someone here might know...
Internet.
What does that mean?

Order it off the internet. I'm sure the bike shop can make the order no problem.
I don't believe they can. I am not 100% sure though. I know the shop I help out at used to be a Fisher dealer yet we could not get Trek. Fisher only allows one shop within so many miles of another Fisher dealer. There was a Trek dealer about five miles away.
Only way to know for sure is to ask your local shop or give Fisher a call.
I know Bob's Cycle Center in EDH carries Fisher. If they don't have the one you want, i'm sure they can either order it, or they have it at their Fair Oaks store, and they'll bring it up.

All bikes in the trek family (trek, fisher, klein, lemond) all come from the same online ordering system and distribution centers. As far as I know your dealer should be able to get a hold of that stuff for you.
