"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Quite Frankly

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Why is this show on instead of Tour coverage?

It better be ending right now, or I'm gonna kill.

Whew! After the basketball fiasco the other night, I've been adding 20 minutes to the end of the taping for exactly this reason. F'ing basketball .

I added half hour to Tivo and sent a ranting email to ESPN2.

I was confused, too, then I looked and saw that there was basketball right before quite frankly.

why? did they make the live basketball game run over? did they make the TiVo software incapable of adjusting automatically? you should thank them they even put the race on at all. and i did the same with the half hour buffer, but missed the end of the TT. later.

yup, i added an extra half hour to the tivo recording time last night. I understand if there's a live event that runs long, but come on... delaying a show to put on the end of a talk show? gimme a break.
yeah i hear you. but for years this is the espn way. they push back the entire schedule when a live event runs long. i think they figure, hey, its 12am who is watching espn2??? later.

While I was waiting for ToC to start, watching 'Quite Frankly' I thought to myself "Do people actually watch this garbage?". But I bet there is someone out there watching the ToC coverage and thinking the same thing.
I bet there are some loyal Quite Frankly fans (I'd like to meet him), who would have been angry that they cut it for some cycling event.

Part of this has to do with advertising. ESPN2 has sold X amount of ad time during each of it's shows. If that show gets canceled or moved then ESPN2 has to make it up to the advertiser.
