That's great and good luck with your race. Just remember to conserve some of that excitement for the finish ;)

What race are you doing? What kind of race is it?

Ditto that. Circuit (Road) races Sat and Sunday. Its going to feel good to stretch out the legs again (Though my lungs will be in for a rude awakening!)

You might want to double-check your calendar. My first race this year is a week from Saturday also..... on March 4th.

USAFA Series

TTT Saturday Morning - 20 mi
Criterium Saturday Afternoon - 30 min
Road Race Sunday Morning - 38.1 mi

I'm so unsure of my fitness level relative to last year - but if I'm as strong as I think I am I'm hoping to do well - especially in the criterium.

Yes, you'll then be able to print out a receipt that will show your license # to use at the race and you'll get your stuff in the mail the following week. According to what I've heard, if you sign up at the race, it takes a lot longer to get your stuff.

According to what I've heard, if you sign up at the race, you'll be lucky to see your license this season.

Do yourself a favor and buy it online

Congratulations, man. Temper your expectations. Don't know what your fitness or ability levels are, but expect it to be very fast. My first race is April 1, and I'm just hoping to finish. Few lucky souls win or place in their first race.

I renewed my license (didn't race last year though :( ) recently at usacycling.org (http://www.usacycling.org) and it arrived yesterday. If you register tonight, you may have a fighting chance. At minimum, you might get your licence #, then be able to present that to your race's sponsor.

EDIT: Whoops I see you needed to mail a parental waiver. Cutting it close. Let us know how it goes either way.

EDIT 2: Zanesville? My old stomping grounds. Went to St. Thomas Aquinas. Rooted for the Blue Devils back in the day. Dating a girl from Cambridge now. Good times, good times...

Can you buy a one day license if you are a junior as well?

I think so - your parents will have to sign the waiver there. As a junior I don't think you can do the print-out thing because of the waiver.

Parents will have to sign the waiver at the race if you do a one day license.
