I am 6'8" 290lbs and i have a GT mountain bike model OUTPOST TRAIL... the bike was bought several years ago but sat inside most of that time until recently... I have been riding mostly on light trails and the sidewalk at the beach but i noticed that my wrists constantly hurt from the stiff front end as the bike did NOT come with shocks...
I would like to purchase a set of shocks but my local bike shop isnt any help... i dont know what kind is sufficient for my height and weight, and that will fit on my bike...
I do not need anything extreme, just something sturdy and fairly stiff... as i said i dont do any extreme riding just light trails and such... please help.
I would have my local bike shop install them as well... i live in the canoga park area of CA too...
