After going without a helmet mirror for about a year, I bought a new one. Then I lost it.

I really enjoy not having it. In fact sometimes I think it distracted me from watching where I was going!

Does anyone else feel that way?

Just got a mirror that clips onto my glasses, never rode with a mirror before. The first ride I noticed I was looking at it way too much . Overall I'm liking it.

Hmmm, give me a few moments to reflect on this....

The commuter bike has to have a mirror, I just can't see it any other way.

The roadie, no mirror, wouldn't give the right image.

MTB, replicates the roadie. ;)

There is always a vehicle behind me during my commute and a mirror provides no added value for me. In fact I find a mirror distracting. I rely on my hearing more than anything. I've also perfected the ability to glance backward while holding a straight line.

Sounds like you didn't miss it much in the first place.

I wear one on my glasses ear-piece any time I'm on the bike, with the exception of some supported group rides. In fact, I'm so attached to my glasses mounted mirror that I even find myself checking it for traffic (even though I'm not wearing it) when I'm jogging.

At times, I will still turn my head and look backwards if I want to let a driver know I know she's there.

I've never used one and I think I'd be looking in it too much anyway. I'm bad with distractions, if I were a horse I'd definitely need those blinders. I think that's what they are called anyway.

I lost my helmet mirror last spring and went all summer without missing it too much, but have now replaced it. I find, that when cycling with a mirror, I rely on it too much. I do feel more comfortable being able to glance into the mirror and not having to turn around, but before I make a move, I like to take a look back for a second opinion.

I like to use my mirror to keep myself aware of the traffic that is too far back to hear. I can also watch for cyclists that are coming up to pass me - it happens much too often for my liking. The glasses mounted mirror also allows me to watch traffic merging from the right.
