Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - New Pedals

I am thinking of going to these new pedals - my LBS designed them and is now having them manufactured, but i wanted to see what you all think in terms of whether they would work for track / fixed use. You would still have to twist to get your foot out, so there would not be any problems with popping out of the pedal. Anyone use them now? I did a search but didn't find anything...it would completely remove the threat of toe overlap, 360 degree of entry point and pedal strike - which has not been a real problem except for one moment in a croweded intersection and toe overlap. i suspect that they would be a lot like the pin pedals. sidemountpedals.com

From the first day i saw them i thought they were a joke. I still am very skeptical.

a lot of their claims are bogus.
I fail to see how they'd reduce toverlap any less than any other clipless system.
pedal strike - If anything, i think they *increase* the likelihood of strike. they drop your foot down to the level of where your pedals are now. I don't know about you, but my feet are wider than my pedals. and if I do strike a "pedal" i don't want my feet to pop out. How do you control the bike with your feet unattached?
360 degree entry point - I can clip in pretty much anywhere in the crank rotation, so what's the big deal?
even though they say you can pull up on them, will the retention be strong enough for backpedaling/skidding? I'm skeptical.
despite their claim, i also fail to see how it sould be easier to walk in those cleats than say look cleats? they're still pretty chunky.

so wait--you use your existing shoes to clip into the cleat and then the cleat clips into the round thingy on the pedal? How does that allow you to walk/run in your bike shoes?

How do you pull up without unclipping?
if you unclip in an emergency wont the flat cnhunky cleat part scrape the ground?

I dont get it?----instead of pedal strike you will have foot strike?

How is that more of a theft deterrent than a set of eggbeaters?
