Are the frames on the old Pista SL's better than the new Pistas? They were $650 frame only, in 2001, and sure price isn't everything but they're $550 complete now. Thanks for any help.

The Reparto Corse SL Pistas are not the same entry-level Pistas of today.
They are made in Italy (as all Reparto Corse frames are) and are thus allowed to wear the Bianchi celeste green colours. Here is jrowe's Pista SL, a stunning one:

As far as performance goes, I'd vernture to say that they probably wouldn't be remarkable different as the entry-level Pistas of today are track geometry. And they both fashion a unicrown.

tube valve not lined up with tire label...weird how people notice the little things!

Dumb question #239: What's wrong with the tires?
The reason being that when you get a flat, you can use the label and valve hole as reference when finding the glass or thorn that is stuck in the tire.
