I don't think it's a very beautiful sentence at all. It sounds kind of awkward to me, to tell you the truth.

December 2005 Harper's has a memoir by Scott Korb, "All That I Have Is Yours", with some rather eloquent comments on fixed gear riding. Good read in general. It's off news stands, but should be in libraries.

In an effort to make that sentence prettier I ran it through babelfish and translated it to french
