I'm thinking about buying a Kona Explosif frame because I want a steel hardtail and like the added versatility of being able to convert it to a SS with the sliding dropouts, but I have a few questions that the internet couldn't answer for me after a bit of searching:
1. What does the frame weigh (19" size)? I don't think I want a 'race only' bike, but I'd like to race it, so I'm hoping its closer to 4 pounds than five.
2. How do you feel about sliding dropouts? Do they ever come loose or out of adjustment?
3. The frame's made from Dedacciai SAT Cromoly Butted Tubing. How does this tubeset compare to other high-end materials?
