Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Bikes and Coffee

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Kind of interesting read, unless you know anything about the Minneapolis bike scene:

"Coffee resonates with cyclists," Everstone said. "I don't know any cyclists who don't drink coffee."
He doesn't sell as many bikes as conventional bike stores, but he says he has created a niche by specializing in stripped-down retro-grouch rides without suspension, derailleurs and lots of gears. Instead, these are urban warrior machines with single-speed, fixed gears, coaster brakes or new-generation internal hubs.
Though I guess I know the first and last names of a couple people that I only knew by one word nicknames now...

yeah, I'm about to leave for work in a few. Think I'll get some coffee at my work to wake me up.
It has nothing to do with my morning commute to work on my bike and everything to do with roommates keeping me up last night.

I depend on coffee more than blood to sustain life.
Why do you say "unless you know anything about the Minneapolis bike scene" ?

One on One is a tiny piece of bike heaven. I have been dropping by there for beers and bike repair help and good company since I first traveled through Mpls in the mid 90s. I can't wait to see the new cafe / gallery space finished when I head north to visit the twin cities this June. That basement full of bikes has to be seen to be believed.
