I have a feeling no one will ever know ... plus most everyone cheated. We're all winners man. Give yourself a pat on the back.

upon further investigation i don't think it was you as your profile says you're a PHOTOG/GRAPHIC TECH, and this kid worked in a bike shop. but he's from providence.

It takes time to post race results. I'm only saying this so no one gives me **** next week for not having MT results posted less than 24 hours after the freakin' race.

Although, we're so good, we might have 'em done that night. But I'm not promising anything. So don't ask.

I don't think cheating is the right word. The manifest and the organizers did'nt say anything about not working together. As a matter of fact I think that was part of the idea. Ride and work together, have fun, raise money for a good cause ($1100 for the Bike Messenger Emergency Fund).

Hell, with 40+ possible answers it was a piece of work to get them all, even working together.

Check out nybma.com for my take on the ride, it's not up yet but should be soon.

Totally. Also, it was really wicked-nasty outside. I was chilling out at the checkpoint at the IF factory with my friends from NY who were setting up the rollers for the sprints, and it seemed like half the folks who came in were perfectly happy to give up on finishing and just hang out, warm up, and drink beers. I think that if you pay your entry fee, cheat a little, then choose good times and camraderie over finishing, that's A-OK.

Few things felt worse than stepping back out into the cold after warming up for forty minutes or so at the IF checkpoint and having to clear my bike of snow before riding it. Few things, that is, except for the mammoth spill I took down those friggin concrete stairs. Thank heavens for The Other Side, and for the rest of Team Suckass (aka Team Popular Girls, aka Team Wickid Aahhsome) for one hell of a ride. Still warms my heart thinking about it. Or maybe that's just the Maker's that rithem left at my house...

Hey Spud- All the top riders finished pretty much together, I think in the end I had 50 more points than Dan G, I think.

I believe that the 1st OOT, 1st girl OOT, etc, etc only started after the overall top 3, so people couldn't horde prizes.

I don't have any idea how they added up the points, but I'm not complaining, as I got quite a return on my $10 entry fee. I'm pretty sure there were at least 10 of us that 100% maxed out on points.
