Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - got hit by a cab last night...

First I want to say that schliz and giggles was a blast last night, and want to thank if for the after party.
But in sadder news I got hit by a cab on the way home from schlitz and giggles last night. The cab turned left on a red light, and smashed into me with his side view mirror, knocking it off (the side view mirror). I then out of shear stupification punched in his windshield until it caved in. I felt really bad cause the cab driver looked so scared. The cab then sped away, almost knocking me over again. I think pete got the cabs hackney licence, but he might have been too drunk/tired to remeber it. My knee is now swollen and my back huts...

It doesn't really matter if you got the cab's tag number becuase the only thing even proving that you were there is his bashed in window and he'd probably charge you with destruction of personal property and maybe assualt.

honestly though, unless you need hospital and bike bills paid and you have no insurance, let this one go. you don't wanna have to fight this one, as nobody will come out on top. you'll both get fines, court fees, lawyers fees, etc ... hardly worth it.

Hey, I got hit by a car too on my way home from Schlitz&Giggles! Some sixteen year old girl turned left too quickly while I was passing and clipped my rear wheel. The fall was kind of cool because I just slid, homerun-style, across a snowy parking lot. The girl was freaked out when I asked for her insurance info because she'd just gotten her license. I looked my bike over and saw the rear wheel was minorly out of true, and asked her for $15 to cover the cost of truing it. She didn't have it and I declined a ride to a cash machine. So, not knowing what else to do, I shook her and her boyfriend's hand, asked her to check her mirror before turning, and just rode home. My hip kind of hurts from the fall but not as bad as my other hip from where I slipped down the concrete stairs at the IF checkpoint and bruised the crap out it.

i would also like to thank surly (toothless if you will) james for punching me in the face last night

i still got the #, i was a little worried about the serotta cause he hit me aswell, just not as direct. good job w/ the caving in the windshield

the story behind the matter is that the cab hit us while we were legally going through a green light, and then drove a a bit with alexi on the hood. also then threatening me while i was in front of the car by doing a bit of a burn out. if any thing, "the windshield was destroyed by the alexi being hit by the car" there was no proof that he punched it. oh yeah, it was #0940 i just have no clue what time.
