To be honest I'm a little affraid to start a new thread, since my last question about centaur vs chorus turned into a 5 page debate on the social state of Canada! :)
Here we go: I'm ordering a 3T Mutant stem for my new Litespeed Ultimate I'm getting, I'm honestly doing so totally because I like the way it looks, so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it is stiff enough to handle day to day use or am I making a mistake because of cosmetic appeal?
Also, I need advice on carbon forks! There are so many choices, I need everyones advice and opinions please! I'm 6', 190 lbs, so I need a fork which won't flex much. I like the look of the columbus muscle fork, but this is an area I'd rather have the component function well rather than look great.
Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

Leyton

If your an 'animal on the bar' Thompson makes a great (Very Stiff) stem... ;)

The Mutant stem should be stiff enough - I think it's forged from a solid piece of aluminum (correct me if I'm wrong). Generally, todays stems are strong enough for most users (except for the ultra-lite magnesium ones). Where you'll find flex is in the handle bars.

The Mutant stem will work great for you. It's a solid, well-built stem.

Regarding forks; the Muscle fork has a good reputation. The Reynolds Ouzo Pro and Ouzo Comp are generally regarded to be top-shelf forks.
