It must be because the radiator in my bedroom doesn't work. I'm cold all the time. I never used to be one of those cold people but now I wear 2 shirts and a sweatshirt in my house.

And when I go outside it's even worse.

Does having a really cold bedroom make you more sensitive to cold temperatures in other places?

Argh poo!

it is cold again. And I thought that the weather was going to take a turn for the worse. BUT NO I had to walk to school this morning in like 0 degree weather and everytime I would breath in my mouth would slighty freeze (I know, crazy) and I would have to take very short breaths. Darn weather. WHY WHYYYYYYYYY

For me having a cold bedroom or cold house usually made me immune to the cold. I could cycle in the cold. I personally love sleeping in the cold. Makes you want to get buried under all the blankets to stay warm. Best sleep I ever get is almost always in the cold.

Think...colder than that. Like 50 deg. or less. Not comfortable, freezing.

try sleeping outside when its 5 degrees outside, without a tent. Its a blast in the beggining, but then the cold gets you...

BK, do you yell at youngsters playing too loudly on the street and give the whippersnappers the what-for?

Oh contraire mon amie. I was born and raised in North Dakota. As a child I lived through several of the worst blizzards to hit Hilsboro, Grand forks and Fargo. When I went to bootcamp in Chicago Illinois a few years ago we set many records. And we were marching around in all of that stuff.

I used to go riding in under 50 and under 40 weather :p This is the absolute mildest winter I have ever seen in my entire life.

you're probably cold now because you've been riding a lot during this mild winter - burning fat and losing weight. your newfound 5% body fat isn't keeping you as warm as you're used to. do i have that right? :p

well that and all the fist-shaking at youngsters

dern kids!

I tried fixing my radiator and now it kinda works if my room mate doesn't have his cranked all the way open. Good thing he's out of town for 3 weeks :D

Man, I wish I could have been riding during this mild weather. I've been sick as a dog with some sort of respiratory stuff that has affected every other system. I'm finally recovering. I think I'll be back on the bike next week. I can do a light jog now for 100 feet without coughing violently for hours afterwards (I don't smoke).

I hear ya there buddy. I lived in Minot ND for 2 years, moved south, not far enough though. Lived in South Dakota for 5 years. Finally I wised up...

What's that they say...I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as soon as I could!!

Now I complain about the heat. Aw...come on...I gotta complain about something!

*edit I moved from ND to SD in December of 93. Yes...the blizzard of 93. That was fun. Holy heck they printed t-shirts "I survived the blizzard of 93" and here I am driving my crappy POS Ford Escort through it all. Sheeze...took me three days to drive 272 miles!!

Winter camping is one of the most miserably fun things to do. The key is to drink plenty, then you don't feel the cold. My apartment has no insulation/storm windows/heating, so I had to go all ghetto and put cardboard up on the windows to block the draft. It got REALLY cold some days. That was not fun.

no, I am talking degree F...

It is not easy, one bit. Only really did it that low once. Most of the time its in the 20's. That 5 degree time was well, interesting...

I saw a guy passing today when it must have been around 10 degrees and I thought it wasn't so bad without any wind. I'm going tomorrow at around 11am, anyone wants to join? :p

Being cold is a very dangerous thing. I was cold once the result was insomnia nine months later due to a squalling noise coming from a small alien type being.
