Mountain Biking - I'm all jacked up!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

:D The weather is starting to get decent and the days are getting longer. I'm gonna get out for my first after work rides of the year(non night ride). The temps are gonna be around 60F and I'll get about an hour and a half of good riding in on Tue and Wed. Yeeeeeeee Haw!!!! :D
Tell me about it. I'll be getting my first real ride in on Sunday for like 2 months :D
it was around 30 degrees and windy today :(
good for snowboarding though, biking can wait a couple weeks :)
happy you will be getting out on the trails though mtnbiker.

Now its starting to warm up I cant wait to get out, my Saint front brake arrives tomorrow so Im going to put that on and go out and test it at the local trails.

It's going to be -13C tonight with ~10 cm of snow on top of the 30-50 cm we got on the weekend. I'm going to cry myself to sleep with a bottle of wine...

The weather's been pretty nice here but when I got to the trails they were pretty muddy and screwed up from other riders... they're gonna be messed up when they dry =\

Girlscout get to go too? Or does he get to play with homework while you play with your bike?
I was lucky last week - my schedule let me get in rides on Monday, Tues, Thurs, and Fri with two of those days in short sleeves...When all that was sandwiched in between my rides on Sunday and Saturday, it was a good riding week!
For those that have that white stuff that keeps you from getting out there, I feel for you - I really do; I grew up in Buffalo. That's why I'm not going to miss this opportunity to hit these trails every chance I get - those chances end in June so I need to make the most of them.

He stays in the after school program until my wife gets picks him up after work. With the bike club, he keeps my SS at school and rides during recess and after school so I'm not gonna worry about him. :D

Had our first 70 degree day yesterday! ran 5k, swam 1000 meters, rode carbon hardtail on gravel roads for 60 miles. My arss is sore but I still got game!
its 3 degrees in Maine, you all suck.
Just got back. Put about 13 miles XC on my new HardRock.
You bastard! ;)
My current rides require a little more effort than usual...and as pinkrobe said, there's more coming!

I just got in. I rode with Cane Creek/Specialized pro Joe Haley and got my butt kicked.I'm riding again with him on Wed,Its gonna be 70f and Ill ride on thur. as well it's gonna be 72F. Its really cool to ride with a great rider, we went through a nasty downhill and he was flowing and tricking his way through.I was hanging on for dear life just to see if I could keep up..... I didn't. It was a great ride!

Sounds like fun man, it's been really nice here in the ol Fayettenam as well - hopefully I'll be able to get out on the road bike in a few weeks to enjoy some of the weather.
I'll have scratch my singletrack itch vicariously through the forum and videos for a little longer...

What did doc say about the knee?
That patience is a virtue
I won't know until the 15th when I get the MRI, but as the swelling goes down my range of motion is gradually improving.
How is it you get to ride with these pros mtnbiker66? This has to be the 3rd time you've mentioned riding with someone like that?
Lucky dog.

Cane Creek is right up the road and the guy I rode with yesterday works there when he's not racing. He's roomates with my bud who's a pro. There are quite a few good racers that have come out of this area so you run into them at a trail head or LBS.
