Foo - Parents: What time is bed time?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Ok for all of you parents what time do your grade school age kids go to bed on weeknights? If your kids are older, what time did they go to bed? If your time varies just a minor amount, go ahead and average the time as best as you can and select one in the poll.
Only pick "varies" if you truly do not have a set time that you shoot for. Poll refers to grade school age children. Must be in grades K-6. (K= Kindergarten) If you have multiple kids in this age group with different bed times, please describe in post.
Well my bed time is well...10:30ish?
I try to be in bed then, but sometimes it does not work out too well...

My five year old goes to bed at 8pm, sometimes 8:30. As a matter of fact, I've just come back downstairs after getting her off to sleep.

Are you in grade school? (K-6)

When my kids were in kdg., 1st, and 2nd grades, they were in bed by 8:30. When they were in 4th and 5th, they were in bed by 9:00. 6th grade was 9:30 or 10:00.

I put 9:00 which is his "best behavior" bedtime. Each week his bedtime is adjusted based on behavior the previous week. For each day he gets an "X" (enough minor mishaps or a major incident) bedtime rolls back 15 minutes the following week. His average is probably 8:45 but it's been as early as 8:00.

I can remember in the 1st and 2nd grades being told or being put in bed at 7:30, 8 at the latest. 5th grade I distinctly remember getting made fun of cause a teacher asked this question to the class and when it was my turn, I said 9:30, and everyone laughed.

Our kiddos are 8, 9 and 12.
We start the bedtime rituals around 8:30 so that the kids are ready to hit the sheets by 9:00.

Whatever you do, dont make it to early. I have memories from when I was younger of going to bed when it was still light out and seeing my friends playing baseball out on the street for the next hour or two. :(
My dear little one is 4. Her bedtime is 8:30pm but she's usually up until 9:00pm having a story and water and reading her stuffed animal a story and telling her imaginary friends to shut up. Takes some time for the little ones.
