For all those interested:

Bianchi Reparto Corse SL Chromo Lite frames are made with
dedacciai tubing.

I own a 2002 Veloce and had always been curious.......just received an answer from Bianchi.

Thanks for letting us know. Did they also say what level of dedacciai tubing? There is, zero ... uno...dos ..tres .... with zero being the best.

They didnt specify....my best guess would be to find out what the frame was called before they gave it the Reparto Corse SL chromo lite designation. Older Veloce's etc. also used dedacciai tubing as they used to carry a deda sticker until bianchi made the SL frame their only remaining steel frame besides boron. For some reason they started referring to it as the RC SL Chromo Lite frame. Since deda still makes the tubes I assume its the same steel as older models had...could be wrong though. THe only steel you can get from bianchi now is the boron frame as the new veloce gets the Reparto Corse SL aluminum frame from last year.

Well, that may be true of what comes out of the so called Reparto Corse facility, but the Bianchi 2003 site still list Reynolds 520 and 631 road models from the famous Taiwan facility.

Serious question:

Are you trying to be an *******? Or do you just not realize how you come off?

Yes they still sell the Vigorelli which is Reynolds, which I forgot about. Please forgive me....

There are others.Check www.bianchiusa.com You are the one that made the totally incorrect statement that others would take as fact and start spreading around like manure.:( Why did you not find out which Deda tubing while you were doing the detective work?Watson would say 'Muy Bado',Sherlock.

The information was given as a SERVICE to others who owned the chromo lite frame who werent aware of where the tubes were from. I posted the info. I got from bianchi BECAUSE I THOUGHT OTHERS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW> I could care less about the rest. To my knowledge bianchi only offers a boron frame and the Giro and Vigorelli (in Reynolds) now, which I failed to mention. Your response was an attack because you seemed to take personally the fact that I failed to mention the Taiwanese frame, when the only reason I did it was because I was talking specifically about frames built by bianchi in the italian factory. Your goal was to be a smartass, nothing more nothing less.

I should have included 'from the reparto corse', italian factory whatever you want to call it. Which again, is what I was referring to...I see how it could have been misread, but the obnoxious attack was uneccesary. Otherwise yes, they do still offer one other steel frame.

And, pokey, there's no need for you to be an ass about it in the first place. Seems like you forgot your nicotine patch this morning.

There's not much that doesn't beat a stick in the ass. I think a pair of 2's will beat a stick in the ass.
