I'm not a very big guy, 5'-6" and 150lbs, and have been looking at getting an all mountain or aggresive trail bike. I recently test rode both a small Enduro and a 16" Reign. They were both heavier than my previous ride.
Does anyone know the weights of these bikes? And does anyone have any other bike suggestions? I dont think I can afford a Santa Cruz, ellsworth, intense, etc...think about $2500 is my limit.

Thanks for the info

The Enduro Comp was 32 lbs [I think]. The weights of trail bikes have gone up dramatically of late. I think that the manufacturers are over-building bikes, because there's always some yutz who will try hucking off a 30' cliff on a XC bike and then ***** endlessly if his warranty claim is denied.

At your height and weight, try a Jamis Dakar series. They handle well, weigh a bit less than the Specialized and won't break the bank. If you're willing to stay at 4"-5" of travel, you can keep the weight well under 30 pounds with a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp [$2200] or something along those lines.

If your looking at an all mountain bike and not racing is weight that important? I would rather have a beefy solid frame and parts and just get the workout of pushing it around.
