Cambria Bike sells a seat post reducer shim for your 28mm, so you can fit a standard 27.2m seat post in their but it is $30..

If in fact you seatpost is a 28.0, you can buy a smaller diameter post, and buy shim to fit the new post in your bike.

Are you sure that your post is a 28.0? I can't find any reference to one that size. Posts jump from a 27.4 to 28.6, no 28.0/.

Ask your LBS if he has a QBP catalog. If he does, in the 2002 issue, on page 531 are the listings for the shims I was referring to.

Good luck.

As much as I hate to recommend such things.....it sounds like a job for a double beer-can shim to me!
