Does anyone know who makes a front rack that will fit disc brakes?

I'm sure you could just bolt the rack to one of the cooling holes in the disc, but wouldn't that interfer with the wheel turning? :D
Smart Alec mode off: Try Old Man Mountain. Go here (http://www.oldmanmountain.com/Front_Rack.htm)

I purchased both front and rear Old Man Mountain racks for my Rocky Mountain Element but have been very unhappy with the attachment system which uses quite inadequate band clamps and lots of spacers and long wobbly arms. I am definitely thinking of a trailer for off-road touring. Anyone interested in an unused set of OMM?
Damn, I just ordered me a front rack from OMM. For 29" disc mountain bike, no canti or brazons. Toolboy, did you discuss your dissatisfaction with the folks @ OMM? They'd probably either accept them back or give you some tips on adjusting them.

I called Wayne at thetouringstore.com about this when I got my tourng bicycle. He recommended Tubus Tara for the front and Tubus Cargo for the back. They fit fine even with fenders.

Faiv (http://www.faiv.de/english/lowrider_gb.htm), pretty expensive though.

Channing Hammond at OMM was very accommodating and helpful. The first set of racks was ordered through one of his distributors, Adventure Cycling, but they sent a set which did not fit on a suspension disc brake setup. I then dealt directly with Channing who sent me an entirely new set of front and rear. I sent emails with pictures of my setup and he did his best to solve all my problems. I spent many a long hour trying to get an adequate attachment but was just never very happy. Quite honestly I just didn't have the heart to tell him they weren't working because he seemed like such a nice guy! Dumb eh? I know he would have taken them back. I'll just sell them to some of the local guys who aren't as fussy as me!
