!971 Bicycling Magazine article. Gee I wonder what happened to that magazine? Imagine magazines that cover touring.

The bikes look the same, but the camping practices, if not philosophy, have changed. The toe clip looks worth some investigation, where did I put that lattigo leather...

Hey, great reading! Yes, I would say that camping practices have changed a bit in the intervening years, but what a great style and character. Thanks for posting that.

You have to remember that the editors and publishers of Bicycling Magazine don't have long enough attention spans to be able to read more than one paragraph.
