I'm trying to find 1/8" chainrings for 130mm BCD cranks. Specifically 47 or 48t. Steel would be nice so they wear slower, but overall I seem to have struck out unless I want to spend big bucks. $20 or $30 is more my style. Any ideas?

cheap, burly, definitely more of a bomb-proof BMX asthetic but nicer looking when mounted than you'd think. Not steel, but they last.

i dont think the rocket ring is 1/8th, but i have it and back it, it looks good

It's originally BMX stuff, it's 1/8". Sheldon claims it will work with either.

there is a difference between being 1/8th and working with 1/8th.

for around 50 bucks, i guess it depends what you
see as reasonably priced...

I was kind of hoping to find a genuine 1/8" version of the rocket ring. I think it's kind of ugly, but I know people with milling equipment and could probably get it milled out all fancy to look like the one that came with my RDs for the price of beer or something.

you'd probably be better off selling your rd cranks+3/32 ring and buying a 144bcd setup with a 1/8" ring. the difference isn't going to be significantly more than what you'll pay for a 130bcd 1/8" ring and you'll have a much easier time finding a ring next time around.
