Bicycle Mechanics - Oversized cyclometer clamp

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Is there a source for generic oversized cyclometer handlebar clamps? I have a Sports Instruments wireless computer, and the clamp won't fit my new bike. They included a couple of parts that allow me to clamp the computer to the stem using zip ties. I did this, but I don't really like it, partly because I think it looks sloppy, and partly because I often hold the bike by the stem when walking it around. Any thought?

You might be able to adapt a stainless steel worm-drive "radiator hose clamp" to hold the cyclometer in place by cutting down the current mount and fastening it to the hose clamp.
If I understand your need:
1) Your handlebars are oversized
2) The alternative of zippin it to the stem is unacceptable (nice option however)
Is using a zip tie in lieu of the bolt for fastening around the handlebar unacceptable? I've employed this approach on several bikes, use a black zip tie and it's faily unobtrusive.

I've been away for a while, but I'm back!! Dobber, the zip tie idea has legs. I'll see what I can rig.
