I just set it up and havn't had a chance to use it for a real session yet. I did get on it for a few mins. This is my first trainer other than the one I used for fitting when I got my bike. I am amazed at how much it feels like riding on the road. Setup was pretty straightforward. I do need to get a block for the front wheel as it is obviously leaning forward for now. I wish I could have gotten it sooner as the weather will warm up in a month or two anyways. But it was one of those things I would never have bought myself but I have always wanted.

Time to get back in shape!

good for you! now you have no excuses. Couple of accessories would be good: 1) rubber pad to protect your floor; 2) block for the front wheel to get it to the same height as the back (i used a couple of weight plates until I got around to buying the little plastic piece made to go with the trainer, anything that raises the wheel about 2 inches works).

If you got any thick textbooks, now's your chance to actually put em to use!

I love my Fluid 2 trainer. I have a gym mat stuff underneath my bike to soak up all the sweat, and I bought the block that CycleOps makes for the front wheel (I highly recommend that over a book, BTW...I've tried both). It's a great trainer, and it's really good for intervals :D.

+1

I knew that physics book would come in handy some day! Now, instead of using it to strain my noggin, I'm using to strain my body. :D
