What is the target market for this game? 18yr olds for the "XXX" factor, or under 18yr olds for the BMX factor? I cant imagine this will sell alot if they limit sales to adults...

I didnt explorer the site after the "18yr olds only" front page...

The XXX part is a joke...the whole game is a big joke except for the BMX part of it. Its like any other BMX game, but with an adult twist...i think its genius. And maybe they arent all that worried about selling a lot of copies...if i made a game like this i wouldnt be...i would do it just for the fun of it. They dont even advertise it. I mean they even have paintball BMX and Strip BMX as part of the game. As for the 18 and over..(which when i checked it out it only said 17 and over) part of the site...i think thats only because of some of the language. Either way...I'm 18, i can buy it...I think its the coolest game ever made :p :D

Biker Mirra Sues Acclaim Over 'Pornographic' Game

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pro BMX bike rider Dave Mirra has filed suit against video game publisher Acclaim Entertainment Inc. (NasdaqSC:AKLM - news), seeking more than $20 million in damages and claiming that a "pornographic" game featuring strippers on bikes hurt his image. A sellout, how so?

And retired? News to me...

ok well as soon as his game hit big, he basically started doing the sport for money not for the sport, the fact that hes worried about a game ruining his rep is a perfect example of that....he doesnt ride for the sake of riding, he does it for the pay check. As for the retire thing...he didnt actually retire, although after his game came out he announced that he was going to, but he might as well have because like i said he has none of the spirit of the sport left in him. Its all about $$$$$$

I just think its really stupid to sue a company because they put out a funny BMX game that was meant mostly as a joke, because it supposedly was related to him not being as popular anymore. i dont know i guess, i just really think it's lamea nd immature for him to do that.

there's not very many people that can make a living doing stunts on their bike.

He was keeping the "sport" alive before you even knew what a bmx bike was.

NO ONE makes it in bmx without having all the love it takes to do it. would you respect him if he worked at Domino's making pizza's and used the little money he got from that to buy bike parts, get himself to contests and pay rent?

who's more of a sellout? the guy that makes his living doing what he loves or the guy who goes to work EVERYDAY at some ***** job he could care less about just so he can buy some bike parts and ride when he gets off work?

the only person who hasn't sold out is the guy who has never had a job.

I would LOVE to be able to ride my bike at someone elses expense.

Dave Mirra didn't sell his soul, he rode his bike because he loved it. Don't forget that when Dave was learning multiple whiplashes you were crapping in your diapers. you serously think he was only learning how to ride for money back then?

I'll let the fact that you haven't been involve in bmx for very long go. So maybe you don't relize that never before has there been as much money in this "sport" as there is now. Anyone who is still riding after all these years (how long has Dave been riding? a damm long time for sure) is doing it for the love. if you can make a living doing what you love more power to ya.
most people never will.

im not saying he NEVER loved the sport, and I know he had to work his ass off to get where he is now, but i just think ( and this all my opinion, whether its right or wrong) that he is a sellout *NOW* but like i said its an opinion thing, i just dont care for the guy as much anymore. its kinda like a band...theres tons of bands out there that work there ass off to get known, but then when they get there, they do it for the money, forget about the music, and end up overdosing on crack or something stupid. And i also dont think its ALL Dave's fault...i think media can take somone and blow them out of perportion and give them tons of exposure, and then it gets to their head, and they become a "sellout".

But that still doesnt dismiss the fact that hes worried about a friggin video game that hes not even featured in ruining his "reputation" i just think thats kinda selfish of him.

That game is total trash. Why would you want to mix bmx and porn in the first place? And if you really need to, why spend $50 when you could just get a $2.00 mag and take it to the track? Just don't "read" and ride at the same time.
